· VARIABLES
A variable is a quantity which can readily be made to change value.
Variables are always specified in term of units.
· PARAMETERS
A parameter is a constant, the value of which characterizes the relationship between two variable.
Parameters are usually associated with units, but sometimes they are dimensionless numbers (number without units).
· UNITS
A unit is a specific value of a quantity with which other quantities of the same type can be compared.
Units reveal the magnitudes, or size, of quantities. Most numbers associated with electric circuit have no meaning unless accompanied by units.
Example: 1000 is larger than 10, but 1000 miles not larger than 10 hour.
for example:
The most common electrical equation is V = I R
VARIABLES
Variables are voltage and current V , I
PARAMETERS
Parameter is resistance R
UNITS
voltage in volts - current in amperes and resistance in ohms
